Too Much Information Tag

I want to apologise for doing a whole bunch of these tags but I really enjoy doing them and reading them, if you don't enjoy reading them then just comment pretending you've read it then go and read something you want to read that way we're all happy. I saw this tag on Chloe's blog (so go check her out) and thought it looked like a bit of fun seeming as I haven't much to do tonight - yes for once I haven't got homework to do, gold star for Bess :)

1. What are you wearing?
My pink pyjamas with pink hello kitty slipper socks, my pyjamas are so adorable sometimes I just can't deal.

2. Ever been in love?I don't think so, I've had 'primary school crushes' and even crushes whilst being in high school but never love. I think if it's love then you can imagine having a future together and it will feel right when you're together and I've never experienced that, plus I don't really come into contact with the species known as 'boys' seeming as I'm in a single sex sixth form and have been in a single sex high school (they were attached) and if I ever see a boy they never come and talk to me and I never go and call them out, damn the life of an ugly person eh?

3. Ever had a terrible breakup?
Sort of follows on from the last question, nope no Ross/Rachel situations in my life.

4. How tall are you?
The last time I was measured was at the hospital and I was 168cm, however a week before that I measured myself in a shop and I was 5'7, and a month before that I was 5'6 so I don't know and I didn't think I had really grown.

5. How much do you weigh?
I don't really feel comfortable answering this as I struggle with food issues.

6. Any tattoos?
Nope

7. Any piercings?
No, and I know it's weird that I don't even have my ears pierced. I don't have super strict parents who won't let me do it, in fact a few years ago my Mum was persuading me to do it but frankly I haven't much interest. Jewellery is very pretty but I forget to put any on 98% of the time, so I don't think I would ever remember to put in earrings so it seems a bit of an unnecessary faff. In addition, I have family and friends who have their ears pierced who regret getting it done because they don't bother with wearing earrings and they can get infected and stuff. That being said I do think earrings can look pretty, and nose studs sometimes.

8. OTP?
Naomily from Skins, but Emily really annoyed me in season 4 and Naomily didn't really reunite until the last episode so that sort of bugged me.

9. Favourite Show?
I watch so many different shows but I think my all time would be Friends.

10. Favourite Bands?
The Beatles, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, Ben Folds Five, Nirvana and I used to be quite into McFly but now they're a bit of a guilty pleasure.

11. Something you miss?
I miss being free, as I said before I struggle with food issues and I miss being able to eat normally without caring at all. I won't get into this now though, I was thinking of writing a post addressing these issues but it's still something that is hard for me to deal with and as I'm struggling and not recovering I can only imagine it being triggering.

12. Favourite song?
What kind of question is this? No one has a 'favourite song' especially if you're a music fanatic like me who has a billion favourite albums and loves loads of music. My favourite song at the moment is probably 'why'd you only call me when you're high?' which me and Isabella kept singing to each other for a time quite a while ago haha

13. How old are you?
16, but I'm going to be 17 next month.

14. Zodiac Sign?
Scorpio

15. Quality you look for in a partner?
Someone who's witty, shares my taste in music, shares my political views and is kind, they also can't be afraid to get rid of spiders or that relationship is going to get scary when there is an 8 legged creature near

16. Favourite quote?
"of all these friends and lovers, there is no one compares with you and these memories lose their meaning as I think of love as something new" - in my life, The Beatles

17. Favourite Actor?
Jim Carrey or Tom Hanks

18. Favourite colour?
To wear, probably black. In general, pastel pink.

19. Loud music or soft?
Depends what sort of mood I'm in

20. Where do you go when you're sad?
I go to my room, I get really sad at night time so I'm usually in bed about to fall asleep

21. How long does it take you to shower?
15 - 20 minutes

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
An hour including drinking tea and breakfast and stuff, about 40-45 minutes getting dressed, washed, hair and make up doing.

23. Ever been in a physical fight?
Nope.

24. Turn on?
Tall, skinny guys with nice eyes and a sense of humour.

25. Turn off?
Smoking, but more so than smoking just people who think they're cool because they've done weed once, and guys who wear jeans that go way past their bum like no

26. The reason I joined Youtube (or in this case blogging?)
I got into Zoella's videos and blog, and same with Louise (sprinkleofglitter), then I watched a video of them together talking about how to start up a blog and I just sort of came to the realisation that I could do this. Also I had always loved primark hauls and I always come home with a lot of stuff from primark so I assumed it would be a tactical step for me.

27. Fears?
I'm a huge trypophobic meaning I hate repeated patterns, textures, things which have holes in them. I really cannot explain it but if you google it and see the pictures you will know what I am on about, the thought of it can make me feel physically ill. I also hate spiders and I'm a bit claustrophobic, I hate going in lifts (thanks for that phobia Mum) and I really don't like being squashed against the window on the bus unless I'm with a friend who I can talk to and who can keep be distracted. I have a fear of gaining weight and becoming fat. I'm scared about the future.

28. Last thing that made you cry?
The Cory Monteith tribute on Glee that I watched yesterday, I went 12 minutes in the beginning without crying but then I just started bawling and then I couldn't stop. I thought I'd be alright for the last 5 minutes but nope nope that was so emotional, I am so lucky I've never had to deal with the death of my friends or family because I would be a complete mess. I felt like I had a connection with Cory/Finn because I started watching Glee when I joined High School so I sort of felt like I knew them and I had experienced everything with them. When I heard that Cory Monteith died I was just shocked and it didn't really process properly in my system, I couldn't watch Glee or look at my Glee poster for a long time so I have actually taken down my Glee poster. I started watching the new series of Glee for 2 reasons - the Beatles tribute and the Cory Monteith tribute, but if they keep referring back to Finn then I think I will just cry and cry and cry.

29. Last time you said you loved someone?
I don't remember, is that bad?

30. Meaning behind your youtube (blogger) name?
Erm well you know how hippies wear daisy chains in their hair, it reminded me of a crown, like a princess hence the name daisychainprincess came around. I do mean to change it but changing URLs is such a faff.

31. Last book you read?
I was reading Always Looking Up by Michael. J. Fox but I didn't finish it.

32. The book you're currently reading?
I'm currently reading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, it's very good so far. I watched the movie so I know the jist of the story but so much was left out of the movie that I'm enjoying reading about.

33. Last show you watched?
How I Met Your Mother (as suggested by Lizzie), I never thought I'd like it because I had read a bad review or comment about it but Khushboo and Lizzie keep watching it in school and my Wings of Hope group is called Legen-wait for it-dary so I felt I should watch it and now I'm quite intrigued. If you want to donate to our Wings of Hope charity page, please click here

34. Last person you talked to?
In person, my Mum. Online, Lizzie.

35. The relationship between you and the person you last texted?
The last person I literally texted was my friend Joey who is like one of my closest friends, the last person I iMessaged (not sure if that counts) was my friend Tanya who is again one of my closest friends but I don't see her now she's moved to Essex but I'm going to see her in half term so yaaaaaaay

36. Favourite food?
Chinese food, specifically sweet and sour chicken with noodles, especially in Chinatown.

37. Place you want to visit?
I would love to go back to the USA but I'd like to go to LA if I went back

38. Last place you were?
Before my room (where I am now..), my Mum's room

39. Do you have a crush?
Celebrity crush - yes. Real life crush - no.

40. Last time you kissed someone?
Is this some sort of sick joke???

41. Last time you were insulted?
Like a couple of hours ago by my younger brother

42. Favourite flavour of sweet?
Cherry

43. What instruments do you play?
Piano, guitar, I was going to start learning the ukulele but I gave up on it because my brother kept snatching it off me. I had vocal lessons for 3 years but I'm not sure if everyone would consider voice as an instrument.

44. Favourite piece of jewellery?
Probably my necklace with two quavers on it given to me by 'Santa', I forget to wear it though so it stays in its box most of the time.

45. Last sport you played?
Haven't really done sports since I had P.E in about May, but in my last P.E lesson we played Rounders.

46. Last song you sang?

48. Have you ever used it?
As I said, I've never been in a situation where I would use it so nope

49. Last time you hung out with anyone?
Couple of hours ago with family

50. Who should answer these questions next?
Lizzie and Isabella even though they take 43974309349740943 to do tags whereas I do far too many, also anyone who wants to do it. If you do it then please comment with a link to yours because I like to read them.

Thanks for reading!

The Books Q and A Tag

So I saw this tag on this blog and it looked pretty interesting so I decided I would do it as it's a bit more cultural I think.

Q. What are you reading right now?
A. Lolita by Vladmir Nabokov, if you haven't read it or watched a film adaption of it then I really recommend it. It's really interesting the way it's written because you're in the mind of a hebephile (basically a paedophile but a paedophile who lusts after adolescents), so you empathize with him and if you don't understand the book then you might conceive the book to be beautiful but it's  apathetic so you can't sympathize with any one character, I already know how it's going to end because I watched the 60s film but there's a lot they couldn't get away with filming then so I'm learning a lot more about the story from the book and it adds a whole new perspective which is really interesting.

Q. Do you have any idea what you'll read when you're done with that?
A. There are a few books that I want to read, I'd like to read the Great Gatsby because I started reading it but then my exams came along and I just didn't have the time to finish it, then I watched the movie when I was on the plane on my way back from America and it made me want to read it even more, I had watched a TV adaption a while ago but the Leonardo DiCaprio one is very very good. I'd also quite like to read Catcher in the Rye because I read somewhere that the man who killed John Lennon (Mark Chapman) was reading this before he shot him and I'd be interested to see whether there was anything in the book that might have triggered it, also my Dad has read it and suggested it but my Mum read it and didn't think much of it so I'd be interested to see how it is.

Q. What 5 books have you always wanted to read but haven't gotten round to yet?
A.  Frankly I'd like to read as many books as possible (with the exclusion of the twilight saga), but I suppose I'd like to read To Kill a Mockingbird because I've watched the movie and it is just one of those books that I feel I should read. Also Anne of Green Gables, Life isn't all ha ha hee hee, Pride and Predjudice (seen the Colin Firth Adaption and quite liked it), and The Fault in Our Stars which I feel I should've read ages ago and I want to read it before the movie comes out (with Nat Wolff in it eeeeep)

Q. What magazines do you have in your bathroom/lounge right now?
A.  I don't bring magazines into the bathroom, and my family don't really bother with magazines so we usually just have a TV guide in there..

Q. What's the worst book that you've ever read?
A. I think I've pretty much liked every book I've liked, if I've not liked it then it's because the story doesn't appeal to me but it's usually still written quite well. An example of this would be Pretty Little Things by Jilliane Hoffman, my friend bought it for my birthday telling me that I would like it a lot but it was the creepiest book I have ever read and when I finished it I felt pretty scarred so now I stick to books that aren't going to emotionally damage me.

Q. What book seems really popular but you actually hated?
THE TWILIGHT SAGA, as I mentioned before, I haven't read it actually so I guess I shouldn't judge it but from what I've read of it (short sections and the movies) I just cannot fathom why you'd want to waste your time with it - sorry not sorry.

Q. What's the one book that you recommend to just about everyone?
A. If you are interested in John Lennon then I would recommend John by Cynthia Lennon, it changed my opinions on John so much and I cried for about an hour after I finished it and for the rest of the week I couldn't think straight because I felt emotionally shattered but it was brilliant. The first book that comes to mind that isn't related to John Lennon is noughts and crosses, I've read the entire series but the original book really draws you in and I think the concept is quite interesting.

Q. What are you favourite 3 poems?
A. I don't really have specific favourite poems to be quite honest, I love reading poetry but nothing has really stuck with me. That being said, I love the Roald Dahl poems but otherwise I don't really have favourites.

Q. Where do you usually get your books?
A. Usually amazon, the works, or waterstones

Q. Where do you usually read your books?
A. In bed

Q. When you were little did you have any particular reading habits?
A. Not really

Q. What's the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn't put it down?
A. John - Cynthia Lennon

Q. Have you ever 'faked' reading a book?
A. Probably in school but otherwise no, I enjoy reading and I wouldn't want to fake it

Q. Have you ever bought a book just because you liked the cover?
A. I do like nice book covers but I judge a book on the content of its character.

Q. What was your favourite book when you were a child?
A. I absolutely loved the Horrid Henry books when I was younger but my favourite book when I was younger was probably Sleepovers - Jaqueline Wilson

Q. What book changed your life?
A.  I'd probably have to say Lucky Man - Michael. J. Fox, he's so optimistic and such a role model for me considering I tend to be more on the realist/pessimist side and I wish I could be more optimistic like him, and I genuinely hope there will be a cure for Parkinson's disease in his lifetime.

Q. What is your favourite passage from a book?
A. The only one that seems to come to mind is from The Twits - Roald Dahl
"If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bare to look at it. A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

Q. Who are your top 5 favourite authors?
A. Louise Rennison, Roald Dahl, Malorie Blackman, Vladmir Nabokov, J.K Rowling

Q. What book has no one heard about but should read?
A. I'm not really a book hipster so I don't  think I could say, however I used to love The Foot Book by Dr Seuss when I was younger but no one seems to have heard of that.

Q. What is your favourite book from a first time author?
A. Most of the authors I have read books from write a few books so

Q. What is your favourite classic?
A. Little Women - Louisa May Alcott

Thanks for reading, and I tag you all to do this and please comment and refer back to me please thanks :-)
