Collective January Haul 2014 ft. Isabella: Primark , New Look,Superdrug and More ♡

Hello there people, I have been shopping a few times in January so I thought I would show you what I have gotten as on each trip I haven't bought a great deal but together it makes a substantial haul. I went out with Isabella yesterday and got some cool stuff, we also baked brownies so I might do a separate blogpost with the recipe on there :)

1. Beatles Shirt (Primark) - £8

    Frilly Dolly Socks (Primark) - £1.50 each 

    Hello Kitty and Tatty Teddy Socks (B&M) - 99p each

I didn't buy this with Isabella but I thought I would still show it, I've had quite the obsession with socks recently because I've gotten some Dr Marten shoes which show off my socks so I've come to the realisation that I need more socks. I love love love Hello Kitty and Tatty Teddy, and I think frilly socks are nice to wear if you're wearing 'grown up' type clothes or bands shirts because then it shows you're mature but a bit childish too.

2. Pop Tarts t-shirt (New Look) - usually £12.99 but with student discount it was about £10.37 

I found this shirt in New Look and although I've sort of made a new years resolution to buy less t-shirts, I felt I had to buy this because anyone who knows me knows that pop tarts are one of my favourite things in the world, it has gotten to the point where people who I barely know in sixth form will come up to me just to tell me that they tried pop tarts, pictures are 3 types of pop tarts: chocolate chip cookie dough, blueberry and chocolate chip which were all £3.50 in tesco, one of them Isabella gave me for Christmas but I'll get onto what she gave me for Christmas later :)

3. Clueless (B&M) - £2.99

    Tatty Teddy Socks (B&M) - 99p

B&M isn't a shop I see everywhere, in fact I only know of two but if you know of one you really need to go there because you can get practically everything there at reduced prices. Even pop tarts! Unfortunately there weren't any when I went with Isabella yesterday. I picked up Clueless because me and Isabella started watching it the last time we met up but we didn't finish it and we watched the last half hour yesterday, I just thought I'd buy it because it's a good price and a film I feel I should own and it can take a place next to Mean Girls. I've already explained my newfound obsession for childish socks so I won't go into more details.

4. Baby Lips (Superdrug ) - £2.99 each but in a deal that was like buy one get one half price
    Free sample of Nivea Deodorant (Superdrug) 

I have wanted Baby Lips for what feels like forever, you can see this in one of my old wishlists. I have heard from reviews and people I know that these two are the most popular, I really like the idea of them because they smell good and tint your lips but feel more like a lip balm than a lipstick. Isabella got the peach flavour which is funny because her nickname is peaches and she picked it up without knowing it was peaches. We got offered a free sample of this deodorant too, my Mum brought up the point that it may have been offered to us because we smell but obviously I accepted it and I think it's a nice compact size so I can keep it in my bag for school or satchel for when I go out. 5. Frilly dolly socks (Primark) - £1.50

    Alice in Wonderland Socks (Primark) - £2.50

I picked up some more dolly socks (I think that's what they're called) in an off-white colour because I already have white ones, black ones, and grey ones. I figure if I can get at least 7, I can wear them everyday. I've seen loads of people pick up the Disney socks in primark and I was very tempted, they had Snow White, the Little Mermaid, Bambi, Tinkerbell and these. I would've bought them all had they not been £2.50 each because that's a lot for socks and I would've ended up spending over a tenner, but these feel so soft, I'm a little worried about whether the colour will wash out but oh well.

6. Lolita glasses (Poundland) - £1

Me and Isabella just like buying accessories when we go out even if we're not going to wear them again, these are not quite Lolita glasses because the shades aren't black but they're close enough and we were both reading Lolita at the same time plus it reminded us of Lana Del Rey who we both love. 

7. Isabella's Christmas Presents to me

I would've included my Christmas presents from Isabella and Antoinette in my Christmas Haul but we didn't exchange Christmas presents until last week but I still wanted to show you. Isabella bought me a box of the pop tarts from America, that sounds stupid because they're all from America but some of them are cheaper because they're sold in England more but these ones aren't so yay! Also she bought me a Winnie the Pooh toy and a Roo toy which is so cute, I was with her when she bought them and they are in a deal at the moment, they were like £6.99 each which is amazing for Disney toys plus they're fairly big.

8. Antoinette's Christmas Present to me

What you may or may not know is that me and my friends are obsessed with Harry Potter, especially after going to the tours (which you can see a blogpost about here) and I am completely and utterly in love with Draco Malfoy (and Tom Felton) so now I have a cushion.. with his face on.. in my bed.. which is great :D

9. Black Cardigan (Primark) - £10 but charged £5

First things first, I am a bit confused about the price of this. Before I picked it up, I thought it would be £12 or £14 like all Primark cardigans but then it said £10 which was a pleasant enough surprise, then they only charged me £5 at the counter which is such a bargain. I bought it two sizes too big so it's really cosy and baggy, I wanted one just like this as I mentioned in my wishlist so that's awesome.

10. The food me and Isabella bought.. 

Before you judge us, we really didn't eat that much from here, I reckon we were hungry when we bought it because we ended up dividing most of it up and I took it home, we used some of the chocolate to make brownies which tasted so good and I'm thinking of doing a recipe blogpost on those, if you want to see that please comment, we spent the rest of our day after shopping watching the end of Clueless and watching Ferris Bueller's day off as well as making brownies.

VLOG // Shopping, Disney and Pop Tarts ♡

So yesterday me and Isabella decided to go out to Watford and do some shopping, we were actually  planning this all week and we've been so excited to do a fashion haul. We were going to do a beauty haul too but we spent forever trying to find Isabella's bank (I actually knew where it was but I didn't realise it was the right bank) and we bought a lot of clothes so we thought we'd do a beauty haul the next time we hang out. I'm actually going to do the haul later because we bought quite a bit, but I'm going to post a little vlog here (my first ever) and show some cute pictures from throughout the day. We ended up doing some baking too because we found some cute cake decorations from poundland so we've been making Halloween cupcakes and I introduced Isabella to pop tarts, and we were watching Hercules all afternoon so it was a super cute day :)

September Favourites 2013 ♡

Hello there internet peoples!

So September is coming to an end, so I thought I'd do a September favourites post because there are quite a lot of things that I have been loving this month. They aren't necessarily new products, they aren't even all beauty/fashion products but I would definitely recommend reading this because I own a product that prevents colds - seriously.

1. Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser

I bought this just because I wanted a moisturiser and from the first time I used it I realised just how amazing it is. It moisturises your skin without making it greasy and it works for 12 hours so if I put it on before bed my skin feels like a baby's bottom in the morning, even now while I'm writing this, I didn't even use it yesterday and my skin feels amazing. Also, after I bought this I went on the Superdrug website and saw top 5 moisturisers and this comes number 1 in the list! I actually bought this from Savers so it was under £3 (think it was £2.99) which is roughly a pound cheaper than in Superdrug, but I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to all of you! There is a rich moisturiser too but my skin isn't really that dry on my face and I didn't want greasy skin, but if that's a problem you suffer with then there is hope for you after all!

 

2. Close Up Toothpaste

I did say there weren't many beauty items here. Now you're probably thinking 'why is she going on about toothpaste? What an utter nutter' but this is the best toothpaste I have ever used. It actually makes your teeth whiter! I bought this in the USA (sorry you can't buy this in the UK but I stocked up on holiday) for about 79 cents because my Mum used this back in the late 80s and has been going on about it ever since so she knew to stock up when we saw it. In the drug stores in Manhattan it was really expensive but we still bought about 10 tubes, then we felt so stupid when we went to the supermarket with my Aunt and it was a couple of dollars cheaper. The paste is like a red gel and it's cinnamon flavour which isn't my favourite but as it makes your teeth brighter and much nicer so I'm not complaining. I do hope when our 3743970290230894 tubes run out we'll be going back to the USA because I never want to stop using this!

3. Black Patent Dr Marten Boots

These are like my favourite shoes anyway but now that the weather is getting colder I'm wearing them so much more often, I'm still hoping for a pair of Dr Marten shoes but I haven't gotten round to buying those yet. These are £85 unless you find them on sale, my white patent ones were £63 on sale so if you wait until about October then the Dr Martens should all be reduced. It's really a long term investment because they last so long, they're real leather, honestly they're amazing amazing shoes.

4. Johnson's Baby Bath

I really like this baby bath because it makes my bath all bubbly, I'm such a child oh my gosh. Seriously though, I like the scent. It's not really a clear scent like vanilla or something but I just really like it. That's such a rubbish description, but this is better for your skin I think and I like to use a bit of Johnson's baby oil too just to keep the moisture in my bath. A hot bubbly bath is absolute bliss around this time of year whereas in the summer showers are the one. My Mum bought a new bottle of this earlier this week because the old one had a tiny bit in, so the second I saw a full one was available I pretty much dumped a load of it in my bath because I was so excited - it's that good.

5. Metatone Tonic

I said I had a cure for a cold - I do. My Mum started buying this stuff last year and I didn't get a cold once during the autumn - winter period last year. You know that feeling when you know you're about to get sick but you're not quite there yet? Whenever I feel like that, I take a tablespoon or two of this bad boy and I'm ready to go. I think it boosts your immune system or something because when you start feeling sick it's probably your immune system trying to fight off the bug right? I do biology so you'd think I know that but nope. It's cherry flavoured but it's sort of medicine-y flavoured. My Mum buys it so I couldn't say where it's from but I assume it's just from a regular supermarket.

6. Hot Chocolate and Whipped Cream

To be honest, I was drinking hot chocolate throughout the whole of summer but I didn't want to use whipped cream on it because it's been sort of a fear food of mine for about a year and I stopped having it, but I decided to conquer my fear food and have it on hot chocolate and it makes such a difference. It's lovely to be all cosy and have hot chocolate too, this particular hot chocolate is waitrose low calorie hot chocolate which is really really good but it gets that disgusting hot chocolate residue at the end which I can't stand. I don't mind it in some hot chocolates because it tastes like sugar but not in this one, makes me a bit queasy just thinking about it..

7. Pop Tarts

Another thing I had stocked up on in the USA, but in Sainsbury's they're actually not too expensive for the more basic flavours so my Mum has started buying them - yay Mum! If anyone starts even talking about Pop tarts I do just perk up and go all fuzzy inside, I think the jammy fruit ones are the best but even the chocolate ones are okay. They have way better flavours in the USA but hey it's better than nothing. I had actually tried these ages before going to America, I think they introduced them in the UK years ago and I tried them and just thought they were really really sweet and then my parents never bought them again. Then I got them in a cybercandy box (the Cherry ones) and fell in love, so I knew when we went to the USA I had to stock up! Anyone who's reading this who knows me should know my birthday is coming up soon so hint hint I like pop tarts.......

8. Herbal tea

Similar to my love of hot chocolate, but during the week I like to have a herbal tea before bed because there's no caffeine or sugar or bad stuff in them. Hot chocolate is sort of what I have as a treat on a Friday. I'm really loving Butter Mint tea, but my favourite tea is probably strawberry and mango with a teaspoon of splenda - perfect.

ALSO, me, Lizzie, and a few other friends are doing some charity work for WOHAA which is Wings of Hope Achievement Award. We basically are raising money to help children in less fortunate countries get a decent education, we're going to be doing a variety of events to raise money. The first one being that a few members of our team are going to be dying their hair in crazy colours. If we raise £50, they'll do one colour. £100 is two colours. £150 is three colours, and if we raise £200 then they'll dress in the colour of their hair. If we raise enough money to get to the semi-finals (it's sort of like a competition) we can go to the House of Lords, if we win all together we get to go to India and see the schools and the children we've been donating to.
